Yeah, I know it's at Rumsey Park, just had a brain fart. I wondered, though, if all people had to do was put in a yes or a no, maybe they might just post an answer ...
Why don't you start an informal poll on a new thread, asking EVERYONE who reads the forum to respond with just a yes or a no, no comments necessary, as to whether they want the YMCA in Green Valley Park.
You posted a couple of days ago about Boulder, Colorado. Those of us who are natives of Colorado have, for about the past 30 or 40 years, referred to Boulder as "26 square miles surrounded by reality". Boulder's odd ... for lack of a better word.
Let me tell you a story about poor medical care/lousy doctors:
When I lived in Denver (no shortage of doctors there!), I found a doc near where I worked. I went to him for a couple of years (but I was young and healthy, but obviously a bit slow on the uptake). In those couple of years, that doctor never touched me. Never took my pulse, NOTHING. Never put one finger on me.
The crowning shot was when I left my office 15 minutes early for a 1:30 appointment (thought I could get it done on my lunch break). At 4:15 I stuck my head out of the exam room to see what the hang-up was. The doc and his staff were putting on their coats, keys in hand.
I thought I knew the meaning of the word, 'service' – it's the act of doing things for other people. Then I heard these terms which reference the word SERVICE:
Internal Revenue Service Postal Service Telephone Service Civil Service City & County Public Service Customer Service Service Stations
Then I became confused about the word 'service.' This is not what I thought 'service' meant.
So the other day, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'service' a few of his cows. BAM! It all came into perspective. Now I understand what all those 'service' agencies are doing to us.
You are all in my thoughts, too. Brain, lung, and liver cancer took my husband almost 5 years ago, and I know how difficult it is. God was merciful; my guy only lasted 2 months from the onset of his first symptom.

NOBODY would be better off with the Doc in Denver. And he didn't even push pills! Had no redeeming social value whatsoever.
On Payson? Poor medical care?
