    Pat,

You sure seem to have a bug up your $3@@ about the mayor.

I find it funny that you, of all people, talk about others 'shooting from the hip' or going off with out having all of the information. That's just too funny.

The good news: there is a new mayor in town.

The bad news: and once again you are wrong. That seems to be happening a lot.

On What is Pat Randalls election complaint going to cost the town?

What makes me so smart? I’ve spent the last 20 years involved with the safety and security of military installations and airports. I’ve work with all the branches of the military, plus US customs, DHS, BP, FBI….everyone. The fences that they put up don’t work. There have been fences in the middle of our some of the border towns for years but they don’t work. People come over the fence or come around it.

We (the people in the United States of America) forget our past very quickly. How many times have we tried to keep different ‘groups’ out? Let’s see; there were the Italians, the Irish, the Germans, the Japanese (I’m sure there were other groups but I don’t feel like looking it up) and now the Mexicans. This country was made great because of the different cultures and ideas that have come into it. We will survive this and be stronger because of it. Hopefully the next generation of people won’t be as raciest.

I find your comment about shooting people to be sick and you seem to be in need of a mental health expert for your safety and ours.

From the information in the thread ‘Phaytal Phootball Phoolishness’ and the editorial that was in the paper I’m pretty confident that I’m making the right conclusions about the situation for my question. This has to do with the former Payson football player that was kicked off the team and ‘transferred’ to Blue Ridge. I’m not trying to start a fresh debate on the kid’s integrity or that of his family.

Max Foster has written over and over again about having high standards in sports. Yet he keeps bringing this kid’s name up in his articles. I just find it strange that considering he calls for these high standards that he keeps mentioning the name of a kid that doesn’t go to school here and left under such questionable conditions. Does anyone else think that this is strange?

I think that a lot of people view police men, fire fighters and military personnel as ‘heroes’ just because the nature of the jobs that they hold. Anyone who is held above the general public becomes news worthy for any action be it good or bad. Look at the ‘professional’ sports players and how they are worshipped. Or Hollywood ‘stars’. Because of this if one of them dies, saves a life or gets their hand caught in the cookie jar its front page news.

I am proudly at fault for instilling the idea that the police men, fire fighters and military personnel are heroes to my boys. I tell them that they can always trust a policeman. That fire fighters do things like running into burning houses to help people that they don’t even know. And that the military is over in foreign countries to protect us and other people that we don’t know.

Man brother is a disabled vet. I was injured in the military also.
