A bypass is a main highway that goes around a town with a two lane road going thru it. Payson has a four lane main highway coming to it and cannot have a BYPASS. What it can have is an ALTERNATE ROUTE that can be used by trucks and the people that don't want to go to Payson. Meanwhile,others can still come to Payson on a main highway.There are many that go north past 260 (more than you might think)and they still have come here An ALTERNATE ROUTE is in everyones best interest.
I agree that Mayor Edwards did a fine job at the C.A.C.meeting .And I also wish him and Ginger the very best. I also hope that the new Mayor can leave the town in better condition than he found it like Mayor Bob did.

People who are against Edwards are those who are trying to buy this election for and with their canditate.They are afraid that their established routine ,that has caused problems for so many local residents,will be sidetracked and they won,t be able to continue their practiced ways. In Payson we have had big money candidates before.Why is it? Could it be for egotistical power? Who knows! One thing ,for sure,is religion has no place in the arena and it seems that this time there are strong rumors that it is being used to gain an advantage. If this is the case,all the citizens would not be represented equally as there are many of different faiths . RE-ELECT Bob Edwards as Mayor! He has done the best OVERALL JOB of anyone in the last 15 or 20 years. More streets have been improved in his time than all the Mayors of the last 15 years put together.Not rebuilt ,mind you, but made better for the people to use. Qualified local people who want to help are serving on task forces to improve our situation and they are making things better. The newspaper article by (reporter ?)Alishire was the worst I have seen in my 20 years of reading that paper.To allow that type of what appears to be a fictional writers opinion to be printed is ,in my opinion, completely unethical. If that (reporter)just knew half of the things that have happened since I've been here he might think differently. The naysayers have been lobbying all the Mayors and Councils for years just to cause disruptions and get their way and they have been successful to a degree.Keep Bob and don't have a relapse
There is a move on to discontinue the recycling program. This has been the best thing that the town has EVER done for the people.It is extremely popular and has helped to extend the life of the landfill a great amount.This is a great financial saving to the residents as well as the town. When they say it COSTS TOO MUCH this saving must be considered!! Any of you people that make use of this service had better speak up or it will be lost. Also ,reporting abuses of this program is improtant. SPEAK UP TO RETAIN THIS SERVICE!!
About the animal control ordinance as far as dogs go. 90.04---definitions. At large.Being neither confined by an enclosure nor physically restrained by a LEASH. 90.20---DOGS AT LARGE----(A). It is unlawful for any owner or person in charge of any dog to permit or allow the dog to be AT LARGE within the corporate limits of the town, upon any public street, highway or public place ,or upon private property not owned or lawfully controlled by the owner or person in charge of the dog. The ordinance was rewritten a few years ago because the old one was not suitable for public acceptance.when it was redone a mistake was made and the old part of the ordinance was left in.That was the part where the control of dogs was allowed to be by ORAL COMMAND. This never worked out and should be removed.
