Daisy Flores wouldn't prosecute anyone in law enforcement anyway she dosen't know how. But why does this newspaper not identify them? They should have no protection for this - Soldiers everyday are accused of things like this and they are identified. And the newspaper does not discuss the findings of the DPS investigation - why? This story could have been written by a third grader.

I met Kenny Evans when I was the Mayor during the fires. Nice fellow, evidently well-to-do and smart. He is very devout Mormon and well connected within that community and the state of Arizona overall.
His influence is probably understated locally and obvious outside of the local area.
The comments so far nip only at the tips of his spurs. He probably would be an excellent Mayor from the business and development side of the world. If he was tolerant of night life and establishing the festivals and fun in which Payson once reigned - he would exceed my expectations. I am not against any religion. I am against using to impose law, prosecution, or any other abuse of power from that bias on me.
I respect the man, he is a good person- he is just not Catholic - and I, of course, have always been a bad one.

You will all be happy to know that the entire Colorado forest will be gone in a few years. Even though the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park and many other beautiful forested areas have been almost all "red" from the kill - just this week the news reported they are going to address the problem.
Apparently someone in Boulder fell a sleep while protesting - owls, wolves, trees, pot, trees, more pot, and Republicans and pot.

I have always viewed Payson as the center of Northern Gila County. The people outside of Payson support this community with their money when they shop. I do not believe they should have appointed positions to committees of the Town Govt. However, I believe a formal method for their collective input could be established as an advisory committee to Payson issues. They pay - they should have a voice of influence - not a voice of final decisions - that is why you live in an incorporated area of the state.

What do you folks not get? I knew from the inside the chicken poop attitude of the law enforcement community in this town. I saw it when I was a firefighter, as the president of the Chamber, as a Councilmember and Mayor. When I tried to change it I was set up, pursued and punished. We have old buildings that should not have to be ruined to comply with current code. This example follows exactly what I tried to mitigate with the Oxbow. I tried to help many people in business during my time if office. You have a bunch of sub-intellectual bozos running all town departments, retired (nothing to risk) council members with no motive to change.
People running for election will not take on town bureaucrats because there are too many and related to everybody else. It is a huge voting block and they rule because the average Payson resident is too lazy to vote.
There are many great town employees except in the regulatory area - they are pompous, self righteous morons that have bullied past councils to enact ridiculous ordinances into law.
Retired people living in Payson do not give two hoots for the viablity of a local business and they won't support any changes to the code.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a business not choose Payson because you cannot afford the price you will be extorted from the government and every charity wanting you to give money then not support your business.

Go to the National Geographic, Genographic Project site and see the origin and migration of humans across the world over time based on the genetic analysis. If we are going to base holidays on arrival on a piece of land, then we should celebrate our Korean and Japanese heritage from these ancients - before indians.

It will work if the micro managing bureaucrats and politicians let them doit. The airport is important for a lot of reasons whether it pays for itself or not.
The past model of the Town running it however was incompetent leadership and wasted money protected for too long by Dick Wolfe and Barbara Brewer. It is a good change.

I am sure some things have changed, but there is still a bed tax. The Chamber should aggessively comply with its' contractural obligations, if for no other reason avoid this kind of scrutiny.
