"I try to think, but nothing happens." - Curly Howard. :) Of course you make some good points, Pat, primarily about the darned enviro-radicals. Lions don't attack people as a rule. When they do, it's usually by mistake. They are meant to thin out older and sickly deer and elk. And that's primarily what they do. It could be that by hunting down so many deer and elk that we affect their normal food supply and that is why they may go after cattle once in a while.

LOL, Pat, getting rid of all the development shills would be a big boon for Payson. I don't see a down side to worry about there. I will wish for this, big time. So, let's recall 'em and vote anybody left OUT in March. How about getting Vernon to run again? I bet he'd make it this time.

Pat, some well-to-do folks have worked hard, Horatio Alger style, and earned their pile of dough. Others have inherited it and not worked for it. And others have SCREWED other people to enrich themselves. So it depends on HOW the money was made. I lived in 2 affluent communities in California over a 9 year period. I got to know 'rich' folks from all three of the categories I mentioned above. I'd rather interact with most of the people you see in Walmart - just regular folks without a selfabsorbed attitude - than the rich variety. And I do think we have enough mountain lions around to thin the deer & elkherds. That's the way God set it up from the get-go.

And besides, we have a carwash in town. They are given a pass on water because they are a business. Phil White Ford fits this same category. This issue is cut and dried. Either you are in favor of stealing water from regular folks in Star Valley to fuel over-development and windfall profits for Horton etal in Payson, or you have a moral compass and are OPPOSED.

Shovelhead has a point about professional politicians. One or two term citizen representatives are the way to go. Socialism and corruption sucks on a grand scale, and here on a small scale. Let's recall the Horton/Buzz Walker shills on the council and get a new bunch come March '06 elections. Get 'R Done!

I'd prefer to let the mountain lions thin the herds. As for the idle rich, they'd be more of a help, and feel better about themselves, if they gave more of their disposable income to the poor.
