Well, it’s a new year and I am sure everyone is hoping for better times. Especially for the economy to turn around. Let’s hope 2009 is a better year. Let’s hope for no more home foreclosures, and for the lowest gas and oil prices. Let’s hope for lower mortgage rates. For the end to the war, and for a cure for cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Let’s just remember to have hope.
Santa reads stories, brings gifts during fire station visit

Spirit of Christmas is more than a concert

Sunday afternoon I took my daughter to “The Spirit of Christmas,” sponsored by the Payson Christian Ministerial Fellowship. This was the first time I have been to one of their Christmas programs. I have to tell you that if you missed this one, you missed a wonderful and exciting program.

New fire board members sworn in

Last week at the Christopher/Kohls Fire Department, the new board members were sworn into office by Chief Electra Van Eckhoutte. The three new members are Debbie Dawson, Margo Holmes Fish and Jim Oliver.
