This is a grouping of pictures of the Arizona Department of Transportation at work modifying the terrain to ensure the public safety on its roads. The construction vehicles are removing, compacting, and shaping hundreds of tons of earth to prevent future landslides at this location. Unfortunately finding potential landslide areas is not an exact science at this time, unless of course one monitors every steep grade on every road in Arizona.
