Carrying on a popular Rim Country tradition, the annual rodeo parade marched down Highway 87 through Payson starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006. The weather was beautiful and the crowds were large as local businesses, volunteers, civic groups, rodeo queens and clowns brought a smile to the faces of young and old alike. View photo »

The 122nd Annual World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo entertained record crowds at the Payson Event Center over the weekend. Stock contractor Roy Honeycutt's bulls presented a most formidable challenge, allowing only four cowboys to achieve qualifying scores in that event. View photo »

The Second Annual Payson Rodeo Reunion followed the parade and featured Nancy Sheppard, now 76, who performed rope tricks in Payson for the first time since 1948 when she performed here at the age of 18.
She went on to be drafted into the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association, National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and National Cowboy Hall of Fame.
