Kenny Evans was the speaker. I didn't go to the meeting, (and I thought Library Friends didn't get in to politics), but the Gazette had an article by Dick Wolfe, and photo of Kenny Who by Pia Wyer, wearing a nice Wrangler jacket. (I wonder if he was wearing a tie, it didn't show in the photo.) Most of what he said was the usual blah, blah blah, but then at the end he did it again! He concluded his remarks by saying he is not, as alleged, part of the "good old boys" network. In fact, he said, he doesn't even know who they are.

Hey Kenny, remember all those people on your calendar of events page of your website? The page that was jerked off after it revealed all the names of people hosting events for you? You know, all the "good old boys?"

Come on Kenny, 'fess up. We know, and you know, who they are. Your beginning to sound just like Gordon Metcalf.

Dean

Here we go again about the (good old boys), and every one know who they are. Set the stor'y right and let everone know the names of the (good old boys), if no name it could be the mayors bunch. This mayor. I think you people that came up with this saying (good old boys), did this so the blame is on every body and you are always right because to me it covers everyone in town, So who are the ( GOOD OLD BOYS )???????

Steve, I have actually spelled that out in previous posts, twice I think, and the only reason I mentioned it again is because of what Kenny Who said in his speech. And I'm not going to spell it out for you again. Denying he is aligned with anyone doesn't make sense, because we all know better. He's given several reasons why he decided to run, but the real objective, in my opinion, was to get rid of Bob Edwards.
When Bob Edwards was running for office, a group of these people (I call them "the old bunch", not the good old boys, that's Kenny Who's term) ran full page ads bashing Edwards. The ads were signed by his detractors. Those people are "the old bunch" I refer too.

Good news Steve, you only have 2 more years and 11 days of hearing me gripe about local politics :)

It'll be 4 years if he runs for reelection :)

Well Dean it goes the same for me. You or Pat have not gave that many names that i have found. Business names and developers names but only a few names, So again WHO ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE,?

I know what you will say, everyone knows who they are, then why do so many people keep asking this. Who are the Good old Boys

have a nice day
this is going to be FUN

Shovelhead, he has gone on record saying he will ABSOLUTELY not run for a second term. I believe he even said that in a newspaper article. But we both know sometime politicians say things they really don't mean.

Steve, the reason I know who these people are is because I pay attention to what is going on in local politics. Maybe you should do the same?

This is already fun :)

MaryLou,
I think there was a list of names, and that is when you got upset with me when I said something about George and Roy. Remember that?
