Your Roundup

Just finished reading Evan's response to Pat's campaign violation complaint. I believe the requirements are for the CANDIDATE'S treasurer to record name date and amount of each contribution to his campaign. It probably does also apply to a political party, but I have never bothered to read those regulations.

When you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar, just fess up and apologize.

I just finished reading it also. In my opinion, we will see a lot of this in the next two years, (Evans bristling when he is questioned about something. ) In my opinion, he does NOT like to be questioned, or "challenged" as he put it.

There will always be someone challenging him, questioning him, badgering him, similar to what Bob Edwards has gone through for so long. The question is, how will he handle it? My guess is, not very well.

I don't know why anyone would want to run for political office if they can't handle being questioned or challenged.

First of all I did not accuse anyone of anything. I only asked for an investigation into something I did not understand after reading the campaign finance report of Mr. Evans.

Why would Mr. Evans spend a lot of money on attorney fees?

ARS 16-904 is Treasurer duties, and refers to ARS 16-913 Campaign finance reports. In Section B of 16-913 it says any candidates, measures, questions or propositions. I did not see anything there about political parties.
I am not typing the complete section. You can look it up in the Arizona Revised Statutes. Also read 16-915.

I did not see anything about passing the hat at meetings and using an average for contributions.

If Mr. Evans had left his 100 pages of documentation there probably would not have been any questions asked.

Read todays Gazette which states Sylvia White, our Town Clerk, told Kenny he did not have to turn in that information. Perhaps if you had asked Kenny, or Sylvia, instead of filing your complaint, you would have received the facts you were looking for without costing the taxpayers of Payson, and Kenny Evans, a lot of money just to satisfy your desire, or to start a rumor, that you know would hurt Kenny Evans.

Look at your calender, the election is over, finished, done!! Please pass this on to Bob Edwards, I don't think he believes it yet either.

I suppose you know Bob Edwards, the mayor, turned his office over to Kenny Who, not because he had to, but because he he is trying to be accommodating to the mayor elect. Personally, I wish he hadn't done that, his term isn't up for a few more months,

Ruby, for someone who lives in OREGON and has not been a Payson citizen involved in the community for a very long time, you may have to replace your internet cable wires due to all the private emails between you Pat, and Dean, the three amigos. Just because I moved to Oregon over four years ago , I have not forgotten all the low, conniving, rotten political games played by the power loving group which you seem to admire so much. Like Mayor Edwards, I was on the receiving end of a number of pretty vindictive happenings.

I happen to believe that fairness and civility in politics are deserved by all participants as well as showing the character of the candidates. You probably wouldn't understand about that, though.

Apparently, you are of the opinion that only your personal opinion matters (shows clearly in everything you post) and that freedom of speech does not exist in your little fiefdom . But wait! I"m not gonna quit posting unless the Roundup Webmaster refuses my login because I enjoy ruffling your feathers .

In case you missed my post on community I will repeat it on here.
As I have read back over the posts on here I noticed something.

I think I am the only one who paid to have the campaign finance reports copied and read them. Also the letter of complaint and other letters I have sent and received since then. You were not in on any of the conversations I had with Sylvia or Sam, so you don't know s---.
Mr. Evans report was not the only one I paid for.
You just want to attack me. Why don't you get up off your rear and spend your money to find out what information is out there before you waste all your time nit picking at me and taking up space?

If you read the paper today you will see nothing was done wrong, but no one will belive the paper or the clerk, that's all have fun

Yeah Stevie, there was something done wrong. That article was full of innuendos and half truths and lies, and obviously written to make Pat look bad, not written to give a report on the decision handed down.

What?? I am not saying anything about the Town Clerk. What I am saying is, I am outraged over the article in the Roundup, because of the way the article by Pete Aleshire tries to make Pat Randall look bad. AND, the comment by Kenny Evans.

Nothing about the Town Clerk, nothing about the decision the Town Clerk made, OK?? Got it??

Yep, don't go near the facts or what the the issue is, the decision. Try and change the focus and redirect the point to something else. Pat made herself look bad on this one, no one else.

Didn't we go through a similair circumstance with the mayors task forces. Did anyone pay back the cost of that little looky loo into legality or was it also a freebie?

You are the worst one to get off the subject to take a jab at someone.

I already knew what Sylvia's decision was before either paper came out.
Being professional as she is, she sent me a letter.
I also know she made the decision from a handbook the League of Cities prints. Nowhere in ARS does it say you can average donations.

I was not trying to make anyone look bad, they do that on their own. I wanted to know where the contributions came from and how much.

Why does Mr. Evans want it kept a secret? I would be grateful for donations and be proud of the fact that people had faith in me and gave the money. Seems a little ungrateful to me to keep it a secret

Mike, FYI they blew it off from the get go as I guessed they would. How about that Victory MC, looks pretty nice.

Mr. Evans does not want "it" kept secret, and would be more then happy to give the list to you, the town attorney, the attorney general, or the president of the United states. But, if you refuse to talk to Kenny Evans about the issue, or feel the town clerk, and everyone else is lying about it, why do you keep bringing the issue to this blog?

I brought it back, after the article in the Roundup. I will not take crap from you or anyone else.
I put in a request at the town for the list and was told Evans was bringing in it. When I went back later was told he did not have to show it to anyone he would talk to me on the phone.
How do you know Evans would be happy to show it to all the people you mentioned. Do you have a direct line to him? If not you are assuming a heck of alot

If you have read all the posts, you know why I will not talk to him on the phone or anywhere else at this time.
Lies were printed in the Roundup about me from him or else the reporter misquoted him

I have never said the Town Clerk was lying, you are trying to put words into my mouth once again and it ain't gonna work.
Sylvia Smith is the person in Town government I have the most respect for.

Don, I was at Arizona Bike Week yesterday. I didn't make it up to manufacturers row. Harley, Victory, Boss Hoss, Kawasaki, Star they were all there.

People earn my respect, such as Sylvia, Don Engler and Mayor Edwards.

I do not have to respect anyone that does not earn it. Office, money or law enforcement uniforms don't make it with me.
It is the person, not the uniform, office or how much they can pay for an attorney.

When did you ever show any respect for anyone?

I do not want, or need the respect of negative people like you. My entire life has been lived in a positive manner. I do feel sorry for people who spend their time thinkimg negative, and living in a negative way.

You have no idea how I live my life, or who the people are that I show respect for, and they return it.

I also have lived a very postive life. I have always accomplished what I set out to do, even while taking care of 3 kids a husband and almost every person in both of our families while they were ill, starting when I was 10 yrs old taking care of my mother. I am proud of my life, thank you very much.
I don't need you or anyone else telling me how to live it. You certainly are not an example I would like to follow.

Lets get the facts straight, O.K.? I am not venting on you personaly, it's the way you talk to people in your posts, like the one above, (4/08/08, at 12:10 AM.). First, I do not hate anyone, including you, and I would not try to brow beat anyone, including you. Also, I am not a hopeless bitter old man, which is just your opinion. Actually, I am not an old man, I am only 77 years young. I have stated many times my respect for you in regards to children, and the greats, but our differances seem to be political, and should not lead to accusations that you have made about me, that would be considered hatered!!

I have many things to say that are constructive, and nice, but, your rose colored glasses can not see them that way. Your opinion, is not the only one that counts in this community, and I would hope some day we could be civil to each other, and enjoy a reasonable conversation.
