What will happen to all the Task Forces, will they stay or go away?

The task forces set up by Mayor Edwards are being disbanded. It will be up to the new Mayor whether he establishes any of his own.

    Why disband them?
Let Evans get rid of them or let them resign. More of an impact.
See what kind of person he really is.

He has so many powerful connections he probably doesn't want them,
    or need them. (:

    Don,
Maybe Evans will start a task force just for you.
Old agendas will be back in force. Same ones as before Mayor Edwards.

It shows you who was running them. If he had no power over them to me you would just ask them to go on and the people that do not want to then go home. But where he is shuting them down that tells me he had more control over them that was let on.

Steve, Marylou, you are spot on. If they we so fair and impartial (task forces) and no agenda, why quit? I thought they were supposed to be so esteteric and for the good of the community, not the regime in power. Cut the head of the snake off and all of it dies.

Don't you think Evans wants to pick his own maybe. Or he has so many connections higher up he doesn't need them?
Edwards wasn't running them, he had them to do work as volunteers so they could take some of the load off town employees and Town committees… Evidently none of you have ever had a business. You can't do everything your self, and sometimes can't hire more people to do it.

What does the word esteteric mean? I can't find it in any of my dictionarys?

So Don, you've been criticizing Edwards and his task forces since the time you were posting as “Scaramonga”, and now you're criticizing him for disbanding them.
I don't even know for sure if he HAS disbanded them. I'm sure if any of them want to stay on to help Kenny Who, they can do that. The mayor would never tell them they CAN'T, it's ridiculous to even think that. All during the campaign, Kenny Who talked about “all the talent” in this community, so maybe he wouldn't even want to use the existing task forces.
You should volunteer to be on a Who Hoo task force, they really need people like you.

If all of his task forces were so great, why has it taken the stack committe so long to come up with a solution to Mud Srings? Also why does the roundabout at Home Depot still look like hell after all this Time? Why did all the Law Enforcement people quit, and I know according to Pat its the law, so why can so many companys promote from with in?I can't see that all the hrs put in have helped this town one bit. Then theres Design & Revue. Can” see that their helping the town one bit,all talk and no action.My opinion.

The PD chief retired, had it planned for about 5 years.
One officer was fired by Gordie. Who else left law enforcement?
The roundabout at Home Depot belongs to ADOT. It was thier design.
What is the law according to Pat?
STAC had a soulution and another group of home owners complained. STAC is trying to please the most people in the community not just one group.

The Roundup at Home Depot does not belong to ADOT.The town accepted it so they could put the elk and all the fancy stuff in it, which by the way hasent been done,Pat said it was the law that you had to advertise.for new positions.I'm not talking about officers leaving. I'm talking about wasting money to advertise for a new chief when Gordie retired. The STAC is only trying to please the people that live on those two roads. Not listening to the people that live further down Granite Dells While we're complaining lets take a look at 87 and 260.The right of ways were givein to the town and it looks worse now then it did when ADOT had it. All the A-frame signs that ADOT didn't allow, that use to be against a town ordnance. You brought that one up at a counsel meeting one time. They were trying to add another ordnance and you said why? The ones that were on the books wern't being enforcred. Do you remember That? Probably not.

Any way every one have a happy st patricks day

    Marylou,
I remember everything I said at council meetings as I wrote it all down so I wouldn't lose my train of thought. Sometimes I lost my place on the piece of paper. Old age is hell. It ain't for sissies.
I agree the A frame signs are terrible.
It is a private group that is getting the elk made and will have it installed. Another thing to keep us from seeing the traffic coming at us.
Mud Springs went back to STAC after Errol Owens spoke at the counncil meeting.
I can't remember which thread but I put something on here a day or so ago about how Mesa was getting rid of litter, and it might work here.

On that round about. The ground in the middle of it and the pork chops belong to the town to do what ever. The pavement and the signs belong to ADOT.How long has that been there? Two to three yrs. I think they had a design thought up, so if thats the case, why don't they do some of the landscaping and then when(if they ever do) get the elk they can put him in.Looks like hell the way it is.They're suppose to be
making this town so pretty.Ha Ha.On that Mud Springs road. You have to be a complete idiot,to think that will be a by-pass.When that grade school went in the understanding was that road was suppose to connect to 260.Part of the screw up was the other council and part of it is this ones.

I have always said it wouldn't be a by pass.
I wish I could find my old Payson map that shows an east by pass going around and connecting with what was South Tyler Parkway and is now Rim Club Parkway. And the road into the rodeo grounds was going around and run into Green valley parkway to the airport for a west by pass.
Such great planners we have and each council changes the plans
They should have six year terms for the council and four for the mayor and something may get finished.
3 Years ago LaRon Garret said the developer was going to punch thru Rumsey drive by Walmart so the STAC committee that was in then ignored it. It would take a big load of traffic off 87.

there was 1 plan to leave just after round valley and go behind the tribe through the saddle by the big water tank by the mayors house down through forest edge and to tyler parkway , and then there was a land exchange so the forest went to somebody. that was a easy way but now you would have to buy up all that land and that will not happen.
