Big head lines, big picture. Now he is trying to get into office sooner than the law states? This is starting off to be a long bumpy ride. Mayor Edwards took office on the day the town charter or whatever said to. First time a Mayor had taken his seat on the right day in a long while. Now Evans wants to take the seat in March. It is not past the General Election date yet and that is when he is supposed to take office. Right? It doesn't say if there is no general election take the office as soon as you can or does it? Maybe he should wait untill after his campaign donations have been investigated and why he did not pay for his advertising in the paper before they were printed. Once again it is only the reporters opinion that David and Tom would have done much better running alone than with Mayor Edwards.
Why does the agenda list a resolution for the canvassing of the votes to be an emegency? An emergency vote is for the protection of health, safety and welfare of the people. I would rather be under the protection of our present Mayor Edwards for another 6 weeks or what ever it is. There will be council members that were voted or appointed that will not be able to serve thier full term if this is done. Please pull the emergency clause off. We don't need it.
Marylou, Edwards took office on the date that was set up by the town, probably when it was incorporated.. It was all discussed when he took office that other councils had been doing it at the wrong time. You must have missed those newspapers and didn't read all of what I wrote in the first part of this thread. Believe me if Mayor Edwards had tried to go in early, the one he replaced would have to have been drug out kicking and screaming
Chief, Maybe not. We aren't the only ones posting on here. It seems the ones that do the most praising of Evans doesn't even live in town and have to live with this Think about that!

Actually, I think it's going to be fun watching Who Hoo stumble. :)
It's going to be so much fun acting the way you guys do. It's going to be so much fun criticizing everything he does . It will be so much fun posting rumors and innuendos :)
I post facts that I can back up. Or ask questions that no one sems to want to answer. Not from I heard from, or he said, she said crap. Don't get my facts from the corner beauty shop or restaurant.
I have real concern with the agenda being characterized as an Emergency. Maybe I don' t understand everything behind making it an emergency. But I would think Tim and Andy would both want to serve out their terms. Terms are stated to be for 4 years for the Council members. Why should some serve 2 months less and others 2 months longer? What about the members who could actually use the money they earn?
Would much prefer an election format that did not require primaries and general elections. Then this would not come up in the future. In addition, it would cost less for the campaigns.
