I just received this message from University of Arizona. I thought some might be interested. "Greetings from U of A's office of admissions. On behalf of the President Robert Shelton and Vice Provost Paul Kohn, I would like to congratulate you and your entering class from Payson High School on winning this year's President's Cup Award. The President's Cup was established in 1919 and is awarded annually to the Arizona high school with a representation of three or more students in U of A's freshman class that cumulatively earned the highest Grade Point Average of all high schools in that category. This award, in essence, shows the success of a freshman college students and because of your academic achievement as last year's freshman class from Payson High School, the high school won this distingquished award. U of A calculated your combined cumulative GPA after your freshman year and it was 3.7." Congratulations to my teaching staff, support staff, parents, the students (of course) and the community of Payson. Together we are raising the standard and making the difference!
