Read in the paper where a coach resigned. Is it starting all over again this year? What is wrong with the people that are hiring school employees? Teachers and coaches have to know how much money they are going to receive before they sign a contract, don't they?
Actually they do. And I have never met anyone more loyal and conscientious than Dave LaMotte. However, his son Jeff had a very serious liver transplant which has some complications. These complications came on very quickly just recently. It could get better, or it could get worse. Because it's the liver, it could become a matter of life and death - conceivably. He needs the latitude to be there for Jeff and his wife. Though I have a responsibility as his employer and he is an outstanding teacher and coach (difficult to replace as a coach) I support his decision because family must always come before everything else. What's wrong with people hiring people like Mr. Lamotte? Well - nothing, we just have our priorities in order. Pray for the LaMotte family.
Mr. Sandoval, Where were you last year to answer questions when they were all jumping ship? I am not trying to be mean or hateful, but wouldn't it be better for him to have a job? 24 hour care is a tough thing. My brother in-law died of liver cancer 2 yrs ago. He was unable to have a transplant. Maybe the coach's son will have a chance for another, and yes I will pray for them.
You are judging me and you don't know a damn thing about me. I do have compassion, sympathy, and empathy. I have been there and done that, more than once. Have you said your prayers for the LaMotte family yet? I have. Sometimes what I write doesn't come across the way I mean it, whether I am being serious or joking. Maybe you should read my posts more than once before you respond.
Thank you for your prayers. He has a job. He will continue teaching. Head coach however entails nights, weekend tournaments, traveling etc. It is the logical area to trim back.
Mr. Sandoval, I never saw in the article where he would still be teaching. I read the article again this morning in the archives and still didn't. I will try to explain the remark. A person trying to give 24 hr care to a loved one is the hardest thing in the world. Being at a job part of the day would give him a break and help him to be a better care giver when home. I am very sorry for the misunderstanding.
Thank you for your kind words. No need to apologize. I am just thankful to have people that are watching and care about the community. Tim mentioned that you came by. I'm sorry I missed you. It means a lot when people take their valuable time to do that.
I was responding to Leeta and the same goes for you. You may know I was raised in Payson have been married for over 55yrs have 3 kids, 5 grandkids and 6 grandkids, but you don't know me. As I said in another post, my husband doesn't really know me!
Give em hell Pat.As far as I"m concerened this school system sucks. Some of the things they have done in the past are pretty bad.I think in this town it depends on who you are as to how you get treated, and I"m no newcomer.I came here from Prescott in1949 when it was a good place to live.
Marylou, I was only 2 yrs off when I said I had known you for 60 yrs on another thread. There has certainly been a lot of changes here, not to many for the better.

Pat, I don't think you have to try to be mean or hateful, some things just come naturally. Try a little compassion, as hard it may be.
