A few years back Bruce Berres said the Tribe had to come up with 7 million dollars for the event center hotel to go.
    The Tribe said no.

Now Berres is saying his financer backed out and needs another year to raise the money.

This has been thru 2 or maybe 3 mayors.
Kick his rear out and forget it!

There are a lot more things we need than the hotel at the event center.
No, the YMCA isn't one of them.

I agree with you Pat the hotel needs to go and make that area a camping site for the horses and people with trailers for the rodeo. leave all that land for what it was to be use for, the town needs to step up and do what they have said they would do, If the town wants that to work why do they want to put more thing around it that does not fit, the more they want to put in there less and less parking, and if i was the tribe i would never let them make the area south of the event center parking for this. When the town over built around the old rodeo grounds ( because of the park, and houses) the rodeo was there first.. and when they moved it to where it is now, it has went down and down

The rodeo grounds at Rumsey was a great festival place, but where it is now is terrible.

Think back to who the town bought the new event center from.

When it was at Rumsey it also brought people down Main St. which the town is spending so much money to try and do now. There isn't anything on Main unless you are into art and junque shops.

Yes and it was not to be sold to anyone, it was for the rodeo grounds, he knew how much ground it took to keep it
