Here we go again.
I have been billed by Pine Water Co. for years.
Today I received a three fold piece of paper with a return of Brooke Utilities. Looks like an advertisment or something. I almost threw it away without looking at it. When I opened it, guess what it was a bill from Brooke Utilities, for water. NOT Pine Water Co. Completely new account number and telling me to mail payment to new P.O. box number.
What is going on now??

I hate this new computer. Didn't mean to post it twice.

I think I figured it out. Brooke is taking all customers out of Pine Water Co and there will not be any customer base for PSWID. Does that sound reasonable?

No, Pat that is not reasonable. If there are no customers in Pine Water Co. then PSWID could buy Pine Water Co. for pennies. I think there is some other motive in the change.

Brooke Utilities/Hardcastle and the developers are engaging in a vendetta. In the meantime, the common folk are caught in the middle paying dearly for the little water that does come out of the taps in their homes. However the vendetta turns out the common folk are going to end up paying dearly while the vendettans (new word?) line their pockets.

The common folk will never really know the entire story as each side tells only that which is beneficial to their side. I only wish that PSWID Board would remember that they are supposed to be representing the common folk and at least hire an attorney that does not have well known ties to the developers.

Pine water co. would have nothing to sell or condem.
Brooke Utility would own everything.
PSWID would just own a name.

OK Pat, you brought up a good point. Right now Brooke/Hardcastle is being attacked piecemeal. Star Valley wants to buy a piece, PSWID wants to buy a piece -- don't know there might be others that are trying to purchase a piece. But, if everything was just one big company, well then can people still buy just bits and pieces?

Does (and I could be terribly wrong here someone help me) -- Star Valley just want to buy the best piece of the Payson Water Co. -- that part serving the Knolls. Do they even want the parts that serve Mesa del and the other communities?

Terribly complicated, I would say!

Bernice,
I think they would have to buy the complete corporation, and if Brooke gets Payson, Pine, Tonto Basin and the rest under one corporation it would be real expensive.

You are right, Pat, if the whole thing had to go at one time it would be very expensive. Does Brooke/Hardcastle have to take corporation restructuring before the Arizona Corporation Commission for approval before it can take place?

I have heard that Brooke/Hardcastle has taken the billing operation to Costa Rica. Do you know if the billing operation has been moved, or is this just another wild allegation?

Like I said, we common folk don't get all the unadulterated information. And here I go again, I just wish that PSWID would hire an attorney that is free of ties with the developers who have their own ax to grind with Brooke/Hardcastle. If they did, I sure would feel a whole lot better about the decisions they are making.

Bernice,
The bill I received was from Bakersfield Calif. and that is where I mailed my check to.
As for what they have to do to absorb the other water cos, I don't know.
Three of them are owned by Hardcastle with two other members. I only looked up Tonto Basin, Pine, and Payson Water Co. I think they serve water to about 12 places but I don't know the names of them.
Go to corp. website, agent information, and type in Hardcastle. You are on your own from there, but if you read the instructions you can find out a lot about who owns what and who the members are.
