Why is it that when men create some offbeat religious sect, or sometimes even a full-blown religion, it's always the women who have to wear the outlandish clothes?

Look at the polygamist sect which was recently in the news.

Here come the women, dressed in dresses from the nineteenth century, hairdo's from God knows when or where, granny shoes, and not a scrap of makeup.

But the men? They could pass for anyone else on the street.

And Muslims?

Women in burkhas, but men in everything down to and including a loin cloth.

I don't get it. Some guy comes up with a new religion and right away he starts thinking of ways to hide away all the women.

Is that what it's all about?

Okay, ladies. Here's my idea.:

Start a new sect.

Require that men go naked and wear sunglasses with reflective coatings on the inside of the lens so they can't see anything except their own eyeballs, especially women.

Hey! What's fair is fair.
